Tumors that grow in or on the uterine walls are known as fibroids. They are frequent and usually not malignant. Although they don't always do so, fibroids can bleed and cause pain. While some people with fibroids have pain, bleeding, or both, others have none. Growths inside or on top of the uterine wall are known as uterine fibroids. They are made up of connective tissue and smooth muscle cells. There could be one or several fibroids in a person. They can range in size from a grapefruit to an apple seed (or sometimes even larger than that). Over time, they can potentially contract or expand.
